Pierre Schwarzer is a PhD candidate at New York University. His thesis, Unforeseen supplements: Bernard Stiegler and the digital transformation attempts a renewed reading of Bernard Stiegler’s thought with regards to the problems of artificial intelligence. Trained in philosophy in Berlin and New York, his work touches upon questions of the digital, aesthetics, contemporary art, psychoanalysis, poetics and translation theory. Besides his appointments at NYU, he regularly teaches at the Berlin University of the Arts. His publications include « En plein air – Ethnographies of the Digital » (Spector books, 2019) and articles for Jacobin and Texte zur Kunst. He is a member of the Council of les Temps qui restent since its advent.
