Nikolaj Schultz

Nikolaj Schultz est un sociologue danois, né en 1990, doctorant au Département de sociologie de l’Université de Copenhague, où il travaille sur les implications du changement climatique pour la théorie sociale. Il est l’auteur, avec Bruno Latour, du Mémo sur la nouvelle classe écologique (La Découverte, 2022), traduit en douze langues. Il a récemment publié Mal de Terre (Payot, 2022, traduit en anglais: and Sickness, Polity Books, 2023), une enquête sur certains des enjeux sociologiques et existentiels de l’Anthropocène, traduite en sept langues. Ses travaux ont été publiés dans des revues telles que Theory Culture and Society, Critical Inquiry et Thesis Eleven. Dans Les Temps Qui Restent Nikolaj Schultz contribuera régulièrement avec des articles à l’élaboration de ce qu’il appelle un « nouvel existentialisme ».

Nikolaj Schultz (born in 1990) is a Danish sociologist, and PhD fellow at the Department of Sociology, University of Copenhagen, working on the implications of climate change for social theory. With late French philosopher Bruno Latour, he is the author of On the Emergence of an Ecological Class (Polity Books, 2022), translated into twelve languages. He recently published Land Sickness (Polity Books, 2023), an investigation into some of the sociological and existential issues of the Anthropocene, translated into seven languages. His work has been published in journals such as Theory Culture and Society, Critical Inquiry and Thesis Eleven, and in Les Temps Qui Restent Schultz will regularly be contributing with articles on what he calls ‘new existentialism’.
